The above rates are applicable for rentals at your event. If you require a rental for use before or after the event, please speak with a Scootaround operator prior to booking.

  • Advance reservations close the day before the event start date. After the event start date, rental requests will be handled on a walk-up basis, subject to equipment availability. Guarantee your equipment by booking early!
  • Two forms of coverage are offered at an additional cost; Equipment Protection and Cancellation Protection.
  • Rental rates are subject to change based on availability. Guarantee your rates by booking early!
  • Certain cities may require a minimum 3-day rental and/or an additional delivery fee if a hotel delivery is involved - please inquire when booking.
  • Your equipment may be taken offsite as required with the full daily rate applying regardless of time the equipment is returned the following day (e.g. If you rent a scooter on Monday and return it Tuesday at noon, a 2-day charge will apply). If a scooter is taken offsite overnight, you (the customer) will be responsible for charging the equipment and you will also need to purchase Equipment Protection and Cancellation Protection.

  • Standard-weight mobility scooters are suitable for passengers weighing up to 300lbs.
  • Heavy Duty mobility scooters are suitable for passengers weighing up to 250lbs.
  • Models are offered with three or four wheels, depending on availability.
  • All scooters are outfitted with front basket for easy convention material storage.
  • Scooters include padded armrests and adjustable swivel seat for easy entrance.

Manual Wheelchair for rent

Manual Wheelchairs

  • Manual wheelchairs are suitable for passengers weighing up to 250lbs.
  • Chairs are outfitted with padded armrests and comfortable plastic handrims for comfortable operation.
  • Elevating footrests are included on all chairs.
  • Chairs are lightweight and maneuverable.
  • Models may vary from picture shown here.

Equipment Pickup Location

Scootaround's rental booth will be convention located in the Grand Concourse, near Gate 4. The rental booth will be located on the Main Level, in the Baggage/Coat Check area.

Venue Information - McCormick Place

With McCormick Place's 2.2 million square feet of event space (the largest in North America,), an electric scooter or wheelchair will ensure that you are able to see as much of the event as possible. And what's more, you can use your scooter to visit some of the attractions that Chicago has to offer such as the John Hancock Observatory, Sears Tower Skydeck, Navy Pier, Shedd Aquarium, and much more.

Driving Directions to McCormick Parking LOT A
For parking at the South, North and West Buildings

Accessible parking is available in Lot A (located on Martin Luther King Drive), Lot C (located underground in Lakeside Center) and the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place parking garage.

There are two main parking lots on the McCormick Place campus and are in close proximity and walking distance to the convention complex. Events in Lakeside Center and Arie Crown Theater designate Lot C as the primary parking location, while events in the North and South Buildings designate Lot A as the primary parking location.

Lot C is an underground garage that allows a 6 foot height clearance; it is located on Ft. Dearborn Drive, adjacent to the Lakeside Center. Lot A is a six level garage that allows an 8 foot height clearance; it is located directly across from the Grand Concourse/Gate 4. Covered walkways from Lot A leading directly into McCormick Place and the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel also provide added convenience.

Please be aware that the correct care and operation of the scooter is your responsibility. If you are unsure how to operate the scooter, please ask your Scootaround representative for assistance prior to operating the vehicle. If you are unfamiliar with operating the scooter in crowded areas such as a convention or a tradeshow, please take some added time to practice the safe operation of the vehicle.
